There are some obvious pros and cons but overall its a decent product.Pros: The case looks fantastic. The leather has a nice touch and it doesn't get marked all that easily. The tablet portion of the case fits nicely. Could be better but it when you get down to it, it works. All ports on keyboard are open. Cons: There is no opening for the speaker on the left side of the tablet which kind of kills the stereo effect. The tablet is held in by a single Velcro strap of leather. I haven't had a problem with it yet but i can see one coming in the future. The keyboard case is pretty bad. It doesn't fit very snug and likes to slide around and gets annoying when you are trying to type. The flap is where it needs to be for the default settings of the tablet but it covers the from camera making it very difficult to take pictures. In my opinions the snaps should be flipped. It comes in two pieces, a portfolio style piece similar to products for other tablets with a pocket into which the tablet to slides. The front of the pocket is cut out to provide screen access. One side of the pocket has an opening to allow docking the tablet.The second piece holds the keyboard docking station with two leather corners and two elastic straps. A heavy leather strap with two large metal snaps connects the keyboard holder to the portfolio. When you wish to undock the tablet, simply undo the two snaps and undock the tablet in the usual way. To dock the tablet, simply reverse the process. Magnets in the corners hold everything in place whether docked or undocked. The hinge on the cover flap of the portfolio is large enough to accomodate the keyboard dock and folds out of the way when using the Transformer in in tablet or netbook mode. For us it was the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer. We then started to look for a cover of sorts. Knowing there were many brands, we did our research. We saw this and thought it would be perfect. We just received it and wrapped it around the tablet and dock. It does fir perfect. It is 100% usable. It allows for access to all ports so you don't have to remove the Transformer from the case. It also separates the dock so you can use it as a tablet case only. You can tell a lot of thought went into this case/cover/stand. |
